Paris Fashion Week is what people hear about in whispers. It is the urban legend of fashion lovers, and capturing it is only done by the best of the best. So how does a lowly South African blogger, with a talent for networking and writing land invitations to the most sacrosanct fashion week in the world?
It takes a resume that includes London and New York Fashion weeks, being an adept media industry professional and a little bit of tech magic to make everything work.
I keep my life on my phone, but sometimes opportunities come along that are just too big for my little old phone to handle. When it comes time – usually once a year – for me to find a new phone to store my magic moments, I trust in the selection of on-trend smartphones from hi-online.co.za.
This year, I got so much more than I expected. The Sony Xperia XZ2 is not a phone to take lightly. As soon as landed at the airport in Paris I bought a holiday SIM card (available in any Schengen nation) giving me access to data, SMS’s and calling to home to survive 2 weeks abroad without issues. I popped it in and watched the Sony Xperia XZ2 adapt to time, location and language in seconds.
This #FrenchKlaas trip was filled with so many challenges, but the one thing that saved me every single day was the easy navigation of my phone in moments when I needed direction, translation, recommendations, entertainment and emergency assistance.
Though its SUPER slippery body had this phone falling down literally everywhere, the Sony Xperia XZ2 was resilient enough to not crack or chip. The only thing I would add to this awesome phone is a rubber cover of some sort.
There was no limit to the number of memories I could capture thanks to the sheer memory capacity of my Sandisk memory card and the Sony Xperia XZ2 suspending all these foreign and beautiful memories in the highest quality definition of an Android phone I’ve seen yet thanks to vibrant FHD shooting. The SonyXperia XZ2 also easily adjusted to inserting the Sandisk SD storage card from my camera into the phone while tourist’ing (yes, that is a word now!).
Unsurprisingly, while I got cool runway shots with my professional camera, the Sony Xperia XZ2 brought all my followers and friends from around the world, front row to the high profile shows I was attending, like Andrew GN at the Palais Brongniant and in such good quality – straight from the phone, to the net.
When Paris Fashion Week finished, and I got a bit tired of the city and booked a train ticket easily, on my Xperia, and travelled halfway to the South of France for a little rest and relaxation. Music blasting a playlist shuffling from Indie Folk to Deep House, through my Sony Extra Bass On-Ear headphones, created an almost movie-moment for my comfortable train ride through some of France’s most awe-inspiring landscapes.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 might just be one of the best travel companions a solo traveller can get.
I was lucky enough to get some awesome tech from hi before going on my trip, some of the tech is no longer available, so these are my top picks for stressfree travel:
